New Sleep Guidelines for Babies Say Bed-sharing, Inclined Sleepers Are Unsafe

The new safe sleep guidelines for babies, released Tuesday by the American Academy of Pediatrics, says bed-sharing is unsafe. Infants should be put to sleep alone on their backs on a flat, firm mattress covered only by a tightly-fitted sheet. There should be no extra bedding or bumpers. They should not be placed on an incline.
